Math Riddles Course

Math Riddles Course

Riddles and Mathematics 1 (1040252) and Riddles and Mathematics 2 (1040253) are advanced courses intended for students with strong mathematical abilities and a passion for logical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical puzzles. A central objective of these courses is to identify, train, and prepare a Technion student team to represent the Technion in the International Mathematics Competition for University Students, held annually in Bulgaria.

Additional information about the competition, including problems from previous years, is available at: https://www.imc-math.org.uk/

Students selected for the Technion team receive full funding, including airfare and accommodation for the duration of the competition.

The Riddles and Mathematics courses are open to students from their third semester onward. Enrollment is limited to 12 students, and registration is subject to the lecturer’s approval, based on academic performance and review of official transcripts.

Academic credit may be awarded for these courses even if they have been taken previously.

Students interested in applying to the Riddles and Mathematics courses are invited to submit an application by email to:
Yael – mathedu@technion.ac.il.

Applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified if they are approved for registration.

Further information, including the updated course schedule, is available on the Hebrew webpage.
